People from the First District of Henderson County have always been active in the wars of this nation. Since Henderson County's formation in the early 1820's this district has seen many of it's men and women proudly serve.
We must never forget the sacrifices our veterans and their families have made to give us the freedoms we enjoy today.
"As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but live by them." J. F. Kennedy
We have complied a list of the veterans from Mt. Gilead that we are aware of. Please let us know of anyone else who has served in the military.
